John R. Royer

I am an experimental physicist. My research focuses on the dynamics of ‘soft’, disordered matter far from equilibrium, typically in granular or colloidal systems. I am currently a National Research Council post-doc at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, MD. There I am studying the dynamics of shaped colloids under shear in collaboration with Steven Hudson (NIST) and Dan Blair (Georgetown).
