Hints for HW 10
General Advice:
The mathematical skills you need for this problem set include algebra,
differential equations, and multiple roots of transcendental equations.
On the physics side, you need to understand
center of mass and the two-body problem.
Hints on specific problems:
- Problem 1-23 You need a solid understanding of what a center
of mass is, what relative motion about the center of mass is,
what angular momentum
is, and what are moments of inertia. If you are shaky on any of these,
seek help.

- Problem 2-15 You have to draw a picture here to "see the light."
- Problem 3-2 Divide by the full wavefunction after you evaluate
the relevant derivatives.
- Problem 5-30 There are multiple roots.
- Problem 5-89 Just plug in and try to force to work.
