Hints for HW 13
General Advice:
The mathematical skills you need for this problem set include algebra,
derivatives (including understanding the definition of a derivative),
continuity of functions, Taylor series expansion and product rule
for derivatives.
Hints on specific problems:
- Problem 5-4: This is a problem that requires you to
work through the mathematics (mainly arithmetic) to get the desired
results.
- Problem 5-6 Both a and b require algebra and perseverance
to get to the final answer. Just remember the product rule for derivatives,
and work carefully through the problem.
